I meant to say before I had an accident, I was learning to shoe. I would be keen to follow that up again at a later date, though am loving the barefoot stuff a lot more :)

I learnt how to do barefoot trimming last year with a really nice person teaching me along the way. I only trim 3 horses (my one included in there) as I am still learning and gaining confidence in what I do. My horse had damaged a tendon before his shoes were pulled. Having him barefoot and allowing him to wear that foot the way it wanted to be worn helped him recover. I never thought he'd be 100% sound again, but he is :) It took him a year in total for soundness to return fully and now his feet wear nice and evenly all round :) I love it and am always keen to learn more, so if you are donw Dunedin way with your clinics, I would come along :)
