ooops sorri about all those blank messages :$

toms hurt his back legs :( they are all swollen we think he knocked them at the practise day coz i was told to take my boots of coz he was being lazy over some of the littler jumps and having no back boots would make him be more careful :( if they dont come down by this afternoon the lady who i graze with says itl be a strain and we will have to get the vet out

:(

O dude that sucks! Is it both back legs? Uncommon to strain both. Is there any heat? What was the ground like? If it was really hard it may be concussion, or he may have bruised them if he dropped his back legs hard on a jump.
Cold hose and ice if you can :)
If there is no heat it may be the grass, one of mine's back legs swell when there is a flush of grass

we got a vet out he said it was just a bad knock on a jump or something the swelling has gone down allot so he is just on antianflamatory stuff
and his legs get hosed every day and i can work him lightly :)

Awww poor boy! Thanks Chels for the advice :)
Funny how they don't care about the little jumps :P It's weird that someone would tell you to take the boots off your horse....most people understand that what gear you put on your horse is on the horse for a reason.
Usually a horse leaves its back legs when they arent able to use their mouths properly to extend the neck as use their back, though don't know in this case, he probably was being a smarty thinking the jumps were to small for him :P Good to hear its not a major injury :)
