Remember to start and finish your individual work out in a position were you can acknowledge the judge clearly. At the last A&P i was at i was the only one who started and finished that way and won the class :D

All the shows I have been to over here this season have had walk trot canter in group.  Then top placegetters get a card with the workout on it and you do that by yourself.  With the open P&M we lined up and did the workout which did consist of lengthened strides.

some judges have them prepared on a piece of card for you to have a good look at... either way, remember that if the judge has you doing a workout it means that she/he likes your horse and would prefer that you double or triple checked if you weren't sure of exactly what is being asked rather than stuff it up!!!

walk, trot, canter on the circle then if you get in the line up for placings an individual workout consisting of walk, trot (occasionally a lengthen), canter usually with a simple change.
Yards depends on the show some will send a yard number others will have a list up in the stable block allocating yards

can someone please give me a run through of what is expected?? like what a workout would consist of in novice classes etc.
and when you book a yard dont they send you out your yard number or something or is that organised on the day?
