Funnily enough, my the lady who does my friends (6 year old) swaybacked mare's back suggested she put her in foal to help stretch her back, she foaled late december, and when I met her in march you could hardly tell she'd had a swayed back Obviously the mare you're talking about was considerably younger, but still interesting.
