i'm going to do a D/D+ pony club coaches course at the start of September so i can start teaching at pony club rallies next season is this all i need to teach at pc rallies and will i only be allowed to take the D ride with this coaches course. |
If you are really keen to coach then it is good to do the Coaches correspondence courses - you are examined at the end and once you pass you can move on to the next level.
Pony CLub desperately needs instructors keen to learn about coaching and to gain recognised qualifications.

MillyJoey RR Vice President (12472) | It depends on the PC I think. My C+/B coach hasn't done any courses or assessments etc.. and I'm pretty sure none of them have done assessments.

elmosworld RR Governer (5834) | depends on the club i guess? like at my club we don't do any courses and we (senior riders) still coach up to like the c+ riders.
they may like you to do the assesment as well? its like a booklet that u fill out and send back to nzpca so you have the qualification.

S A R A H H :] RR Governer (9398) | yep, thats generally all you need to do. All though some PC's would prefer you took the assesment aswell, where NZPCA send you test papers you have to answer and then send someone out to assess you.
And yup you can only take the D/D+ group

i'm guessing that you would only be allowed to take the d riders seeing as you did the d coaching course and not the c, b, etc
