The way Kallista taught me to ask for it was to start with the travers on the long side then push them across..that's the way I've taught my horse and she gets 8s for them so am assuming that must be right?

thats how i ride it too...seems to make sense coz you teach travere before halfpass so its easier to ask for it then just push them over

another way is just start riding on the diagonal, just normally, then ask for traverse

Does anyone want to give me tips on how to ask for it and ride it? My Mare is a level 5 schoolmaster so it is not a matter of teaching her its more of teaching me how to ask her. I am going to get some lessons to help soon but if anyone has any ideas that would be great :)
