A horses colour genetics can be very varied. Every horse is either chestnut or black. Every other colour combination works on those two colours... That is why they are very difficult to predict. You can imagine the genetics involved with some horses to get from a plain Black base to a buckskin with a white blanket, socks and a blaze, thats starting to grey out lol
