Pretty sure it's been around a long time, was like that when I went to pony club anyway. Chaps same colour and grain leather as your boots.

maybe pointways just wasn't worried about it? lol

For rally's we all just wore matching green polo shirts with whatever jodz and chaps and stuff as long as it was tidy and we were wearing appropriate boots and approved helmets, for certificates etc we wore PC jumpers with tie and pin and helmet covers etc.
Horses had to be pretty much spotless for rallie, well I guess we all just did it that way, probably didn't HAVE to.

Your helemet will have to be a pony club approved one (will have the standard mark/number inside - think they have the allowed ones posted on their website). Usually it's a white long sleve shirt, tie (in your pc colour), beige jods and jod boots for pony riders or long boots for hack riders. Your pc will have it's own vest, sweatshirt or jumper. You can usually ick these up second hand at the registration days :) Chaps are allowed although they prefer leather ones some clubs still allow suede.

I insist my group at c wear hairnets but not all the other instructors do. Take out any earings, tongue/belly studs etc.

Horse tack muct be neat and tidy and not worn/chewed in critical places, like the reins, stirrup leathers etc. Some clubs like you to use a saddle blanket in their colour or a white one.

Enjoy, it's sooo much fun :D

hehe i serously dont get the pc saddle blanket coulour thing its bad haha

lol at rosedale our tack and horses hav to be clean and we can wear any colour jodz and pads they dont check for earrings and we just wear daggy polo shirts
