300 for the clippers, but they are sold I think.

also have some brand new oster blades, some hvnt been used, 2 of the 10's have been used 2 clip 2 horses, but I sent them off for a sharpining anyway so they are ready to go.  I think I have 3 #10's and 3 #15's to sell.

all sold, sorry :)

Can you tell me how much you want for the blades?

as far as clipping, I have heard the wahl KM2's do a good job if you just have a few to show.

I personally love the Laubes and will never use anything else, they go and go and go and will cut though anything, very powerful!

I am about to order another pair so will have my older ones for sale if anyone is interested.  Brilliant working order, perfect condition.

How much do you want for the clippers?

Ditto this. Haha ours broke so we have none for the new season :(

personal preference here......we clip before every show and we clip about 3 days before the show on pinto's, solids including silvers 1 or 2 days before the show.

I have left a weeks growth on for one show, it was 2 hairy for me already and won't be doing that again, I like them super sleek!

I never have dull coats even on a fresh clip.  Yes, first clip from after winter the colour is not like there summer coat, but I find the more you clip the darker the colour comes in, but also the faster the hair grows back.  I have already clipped my yearling show filly, she looks like liquid she is so shiny.  Make sure you have powdered or "lice n simple" your show horse though winter and after wards as well to insure clean skin with no ugly lice/mite bites.  It is not an attractive look having the holes/scabs all on there face from them NASTY!

Agree with Ghost, clip a couple of weeks in advance, otherwise colour is bleh. And their colour is never as good after the first clip of the season (well ours never were, always coloured up nicely from the 2nd clip onwards, although our first clip was always around labour weekend)
And yup heavy duty clippers are always good on the wooly beasts (although if you're clipping in summer he wont be quite so hairy :P) lol he looks like a cheeky wee thing with his head through the fence :P has he ever been clipped? :)

I would be clipping him for showing as he's naked at moment so will clip in summer before a show and rug thereafter.
Im guesing to get thru all the hair i'd need some reasonbly heavy duty clippers lol :)

I showed my stallion last season unclipped just trimmed.
But leave him with at least 2 wks growth or you lose color on a chesnut

For showing, we used big heiniger clippers for the body and neck(just made it waaay faster)and wahl clippers (or similar, just nice small ones) for the face, legs and awkward places (skin folds etc), and then in the ears we used teeny tiny AA battery powered wahl clippers. And if you're showing, clip everything, ears included :)

If your showing you clip all. But some we dont clip just cover. As they get pretty fine coats

my friend uses Wahl clippers like these: http://www.tackshop.co.nz/index.php?pag ... ;Itemid=26

and from what i have seen, people usually clip the body and then the cheeks, leaving the legs and front of the face :)
