its a shame they don't have a restriction on the points, like you have to have over 15 points at level 3 to be graded a c3 rider or something

I am a C3 because I have gained Elementary points...otherwise I would be a C2 because I have gained Novice grading points plus have also completed novice horse trials.
Depends upon which level your grading points were earned.
I would imagine, that one would upgrade for next season? ...Although I would doubt that prelim and novice would be restricted to any grade other than C3 and above...otherwise it wouldnt make any sense at all

but then if you gain points at level 3 you would (automatically i think  ) have to upgrade your rider category
or would you just wait until the new season to upgrade your rider category?
dam now i'm confused as well

OK... so ive been to 2 reg events and gotten 10 points.... so they are grading points right??? so then my rider category is a 2.. or a 3... it says for C2 (riders who have no gained any grading points above level 2) so its ok to have gained grading points at level 2.. so long as we havnt got any at a level above?
sorry im just a bit muddled
