Thanks PilotPony What is this "big conformation fault" in her hind legs? Ive always been told she is pretty well put together with nice sound strong legs? The do look quite upright and posty in that pic i must admit. Im in waikato. |
well yes going off that photo, they looked like quarter horse hind legs!!!!!! If you are in the waikato I would go Show Riding Horse if you can :-) She has some substance to her and looks to be a nice ride. |
Cool thanks for the advice. Always hard to spot the hitches in conformation in your own horse isnt it? hehe |
I don't trust people who aren't a bit stable blind.. you gotta love your own horse!!!!

Pilotpony RR Addict (1016) | What part of NZ are you in? If you are in one of the areas that has Pleasure Horse I would suggest entering that - only because your cute girl does have a big conformation fault (her hind legs). Whilst you can still kick some showie butt in p&m, rider, and probably pick up some placings if she outworks horses who don't have such faults, it will be penalised by most judges and it could get quite disheartening. We don't have pleasure hack up on my local circuit but I have heard the standard is very high but faults like that don't go against you.

CessBee RR Addict (3887) | I wouldnt say she is overly flashy, but she is straight in her action and not a daisy cutter. She has developed nicely since I got her and she definitly has more spark to her step.

PoshPony RR Addict (2585) | She would most likely be a parkie. How does she move?

CessBee RR Addict (3887) | So im thinking of seriously stepping into the wide world of A&P and possibly some in-hand showing this season.
My questions are.
What ring would my mare be suited too? she is 156cm
What sort of make up would you reccomend buying to use?
I have a gp saddle, leather and it leans more towards dressage than jumping, so doesnt hide the shoulder too much. I have a black contoured fleece blanket, that doesnt really show much around the edges of the saddle. Girth is one of those fleece equine nz ones. I have a navy show jacket and matching velvet helmet. black leather gloves. plain black bridle with a tom thumb bit single joint.
This is her, she is usually a bazillion time shinier than in this pic but the lighting wasnt very good at the time.
Will get a photo of her head soon, photobucket is just down
