Bahaha I accidentally left my clippers until the other week to clean and I haven't clipped since way back in march :O After I finished clipping I gave her a bath, and dad, being lovely, put the clippers away for me, didn't even THINK about the fact that they wouldn't be clean

Hahaha same as mine!! I didn't even think about it when I kept staring at the box they were in, till I came to use them and WOW you forget how much of a mess you make!

if you clip them too late with the summer coat coming through you generally will get lines until they grow out, as u are clipping away at 2 different coats, so it can look a bit messy and why this isnt advised, also some say it ruins the summmer coat, well it can make it look more dull

i will soon find out with fudge as i clipped him late, he is just too hairy and gets so hot, i have got lister clippers they are fabulous

one more question :) ive got an itchy scrachy horse who i was thinking may benefit from been clipped out to reduce loose hairs everywhere is it too late to clip him? if not would it matter that hes moulting like a crazy thing and has quite a thin coat?? :)

If you clip now you will clip out the tip of the summer coat but if you don't show then I wouldn't worry too much.

OK no thats alright think ill wash him throughly and try some of Evelyn's suggestion for Nizerol shampoo, were going to do a few small shows etc :)

Yup she'd just been washed, but she'd been towel dried 100% (I love how easy they are to dry straight after a clip :D) before this pic was taken.

I have Lister clippers.
Brought them from RD1 for $414
Battery powered, lasts 2 hours and can fully clip 2 horses per battery charge.
Finished result very fine with minimal lines (well, my new set that is. the old set i borrowed didn't do as good of a job)
Yes, I clip for others.

That pic was just after I clipped her, if you get little lines just run the clippers over them again and make sure you hold the skin real firm :)

I have GTS or something off TM?
If you go over the little lines they go away - mine didn't turn out steaky at all this year :) Was like the 2nd clip I've done?
