U7??? It's fairly expensive (but well worth it if you can).
Fennugreek is supposed to be good for the GI tract. And linseed is supposed to be good for ulcers. Didn't really try either, personally (horse was getting linseed, but was before I tried U7 or any diet changes so probably wouldn't have been helping). They're both fairly cheap so could be worth trying anyway.

what does it actually do? Twiggley is going on gastrozol which is a prescribed treatment for ulcers and that will clear them up |
Gastrozol stops gastric acid production (which allows the ulcer to heal). U7 helps regulate the gut acid so it isn't so acidic (a high fibre diet can do something similar, a lot of chewing produces a lot of saliva which is a natural buffer, and a lot of fibre will absorb gut acid). It'd be more of a long term management thing than gastrozol would be.

gastrozol is an actual drug that will attack the problem of the stomach ulcer. U7 is a gastric aid so it contains lots of things that aid the natural digestive system and help it function better. You should probably consider putting Twiggy on it permanently once she comes right off the gastrozol.

| The only real way to know if it's ulcers for sure is to get his gut scoped. I'd probably skip that and give the U7 a shot anyway. It won't do any harm if it's not ulcers, but still might help him get more from his feed.

| *waves hand* I had an OTTB with a ulcer issue. U7 was the only thing that helped him ... he picked up hugely after just one bottle.
It's expensive, but definitly well worth giving it a shot. Upside is if it's going to help you'll see results reasonably quickly.

PoshPony RR Addict (2585) | Who has had good results with this, my boy is sorta going on and off his feed, after talking to a freind i think he may has stomach ulcers, as he has poor appetite, and i don't think he is as bright as he should be.
Any testimonials? Anyone had the same problem with their horse and used this??
