I have a platinum one for one of the horses I am riding. Really beautiful.

Fountain city had stud guards that can slip over a conventional girth...not sure if they still have them, but considerably cheaper than all in one leather.  Are you planning on studding up in front?

yup pretty much always put studs in hinds and fronts :)
around how much would that cost?
is there any reason a slip over one like that wouldnt be as good as a normal stud girth?

I have one you can have for $45 inc postage. It's dark brown and never been used! Too small for my big mare with a big belly. I don't think they are any different really.

personally i like stugirths rather than the things you slide onto the girth, but they can be a good cheap starter option. Platinum do them for around 150 i think
