Fountain city had stud guards that can slip over a conventional girth...not sure if they still have them, but considerably cheaper than all in one leather. Are you planning on studding up in front? |
yup pretty much always put studs in hinds and fronts around how much would that cost? is there any reason a slip over one like that wouldnt be as good as a normal stud girth? |
I have one you can have for $45 inc postage. It's dark brown and never been used! Too small for my big mare with a big belly. I don't think they are any different really.

Twiggles RR Governer (7782) | personally i like stugirths rather than the things you slide onto the girth, but they can be a good cheap starter option. Platinum do them for around 150 i think
