Yes I did Cas but I'm quite old school and not up so much with the current training techniques used (given I last competed over a decade ago!!). Also, as much as I love giving the odd lesson, or working longterm with a rider with a good knowledge base already, or with one of my horses, I do fully recognise my limits as an instructor and would not presume to take on a regular group experience from novice through to GP level :$

Thanks for your helpful comments Jack anyway :D

Am hoping to hear back from Pedro soon and am trying to get in touch with the Wilsons. I just want to offer something special/unique (like we do with Bill) :)

Fair enough! :)
Wilsons would be fantastic I would think!

Concidering grandprix is the highest level of showjumping im sure they couldnt get much better than you! :) maybe do rotations of you and matthew?

It's all very well saying well you competed this high up so you should be able to coach good, some people just dont really like coaching and some are more suited to it than others (not saying Bilbo isn't have never had a lesson with her so wouldn't know) just saying in general. Some really good coaches have never actually competed at the level they coach but know how to get someone to that level. Well thats what I think anyway hehe :P :D

Thats like Louisa Hill and her mum Jenny- she coached Louisa to the Olympics and Jenny hasn't ridden that high I believe

LMAO - am sure you have heard lots :D Like my competing at Badminton and Burghley  This place cracks me up :D

have you actually competed at badminton/burghley?? or is that just a joke lol
lol the vet we work with lives in oakura so every place we went to she was always bitching about someone or another to that person haha - i actually had to have a talk to her about how rude she was being at one point cos she brought up a few people that i actually knew

LMAO - Kylie, yes I know her all to well, actually had to ask her to leave my yard (she grazed here when she first came over from Oz) - so bloody rude and up herself!! Not v well liked at all.

Ref Badminton and Burghley - NO, I have never been, lol, if I had I'd be pretty damn awsome considering I've never done a dressage test in my life and last time I did xc I was about 6 ad I broke my arm over wall!! If they'd have actually realised my discipline was SJing they could have got a better roumour going... maybe Hickstead, the Olympics

Youve competed Grand Prix though aye? Because if you have im sure you have oodles of experince to give to your clients! Concidering grandprix is the highest level of showjumping im sure they couldnt get much better than you! :) maybe do rotations of you and matthew?

He's amazing! Super for confidence, makes jumping FUN/enjoyable, and understands so many different horses. If he's unsure he'll get on himself and get a feel for the horse to more easily instruct how to ride it :)

How come you won't try Blyth? I was just at a clinic with him, had to be the best lessons I've ever had..

Jill Ullrich- completely changed my riding this year! really strong on equitation and is so good.
Floss is great too :)
John Cottle is good, very similar style to Floss I find.
Matthew does SJ lessons too? iv found him to be a great SJ coach actually and he coaches a few SJers.
Andrew Scott is fantastic- my current trainer. He really understands how horses work, has gotten me schooling up to 1.30m this year :) If you got him coming up to NP id definitely be keen for lessons when im home in summer

There's Pedro from Tauranga? Not sure if he'd go all that way but DEFINITELY worth a shot. http://www.pedrodechaby.com/
Alice uses him too, and I think Lythinae may have had lessons with him too? But don't quote me :)

Pedro is awesome (I have a lesson on Sunday yay!).  He's done absolute wonders for my confidence and for my position (which had gone down the toilet for a couple of reasons)
