arg i hate it wen ur trying to hav a convo about stuff and the end up comparing ur horse to theirs
like they ask you about something to do with ur horse and u tell them and they then instantly start telling you why it wouldnt work for their horse and how it was bad
like theres this new lady at my grazing and i havnt had a proper convo with her as everytime i say something she has to turn it into something about her horse even if i wasnt talking about my horse anyway

I try to avoid people like that. You find they are the ones who stay at the same level forever, while your going up and up and then they tell YOU what to do.. Geez People are crazy!! :)

Ahhh, such is the nature of humans. Mine is better than yours - mine is bigger, mine is stronger etc etc etc
Then again it is all in how you wish to view what they are saying - defensively, hysterically, as it is or competitivly.

Yeah, I used to now I just try to block it out. Lately I've been heraing how a horse can jump full sized deer fence from stand still :)

my friends horse can actually do this haha

How high is a deer fence? My pony jumped out of a 1.25m catttle yard from a stand still with a rug on as a yearling (was around 13.2/3hh at the time haha. So it wouldn't suprise me if they could :P

Yeah you should see the horse though. Deer fence closer to 2m I think. I've seen horses jump cattle yards when they are tied up but not with a big burly bloke sitting on them.

I've been getting this alot lately and was wondering if it drives anyone else NUTS!!
When some people find out you horse ride they insist on telling you how good their mum, cousin, sister, uncles mothers cousin etc is soooo good with horses, and soooo good at riding, and their horse is soooo big and soooo blah blah blah..
And then you find out they have a old station hack or something which makes you sigh and just keep nodding and smiling at them.

Or is it just me that this drives nuts!!
