For getting a swollen throat down? It's incredibly painful and I can't breathe or swallow properly - I woke up this morning by choking on saliva coz I couldn't swallow it down, and I have to swallow several times to get one mouthful of water down properly :(
I've been taking strepsils plus (2x antiseptic and anaesthetic) and they make it feel better but don't actually see, to be helping haha. Any ideas?

I would go in to the phamacy and talk to the pharmacist. Do you have other symptoms as well? I'm just concerned that you will get dehydrated if you cant get much water down the hatch :P

I live in the middle of no where, and it's a bit of a hike into town, especially on a wet day (people have their headlights on and it freaks me out crazy bad), but maybe mum could stop on her way back from work or I have to go in for physio tomorrow anyway so could go to a pharmacy then..
