How do you send them / contact them.

just take them into the shop.

I'm in wellington and there's no sw near me..

just take them to your local laundromat then - they will do exactly the same thing as sw and save you money on postage for sending covers and whatnot

SW just need them dry I think.

The GC had a bunch of synthetic ones that were literally making me retch, they smelt so revolting and SW took them no problem and came back looking fab.

I never bother knocking the mud off - thats what I am paying them for

Do i need to get a bit of the mud off or can i just send it?
Is there a link for the cover cleaning as i can't find it :/

For repairs???

Kinda depends where you take them (some won't take them or will charge an extra fee), but dirt clogs and damages the sewing machines so it's probably best to brush as much of the dirt off as you can.

I usually give them a quick flick over with a stiff brush (like a dandy brush or whatever) then take them wherever, never actually taken them to SW though.

Do you have to kinda clean them before hand?

i think you usually just air them out so they don't smell really bad or are soaking wet

Even if it does take the waterproofing out, you can get more waterproofing stuff that makes it like brand new again. It's not going to ruin the covers if the waterproofing is taken off accidently

Any suggestions? We re waterproofed with the SW stuff and it was abouslte crap!

Suredry is the best waterproofer for rugs (both canvas and synthetic)

Yup second this. I also got some heavy duty canvas reproofer from Mitre 10 mega

I use to use a cheap medicated horse shampoo on the linings in the days when I use to get down on my hands and knees and scrub them clean then hose off.

Now I am too lazy (also I broke one metal clothesline hanging wet covers on it - clean snapped off)  - so SW to clean and then re-proof myself.

If I spread it out over a couple of months its not too expensive ($15 each I think) and they come back like new!

Ditto-ing laundromat and the really big machines (then I take them home to line dry).  Even heavy winter rugs come up really clean.

You can get synthetic rug cleaner .... chuck in the washing machine with the rugs.  Apparently works well, but I've never tried it.
