Mark Tylee

Mark Tylee is a top Endurance rider currently ranked 8th in the world*.

Based in Owango, Mark has been riding for over 15 years and during that time has won three national 3* events and completed 20 successful 160km competitions.

In 2009 Mark broke the NZ record on his ride Class Act at the Mitavite National Endurance Championships in Wairarapa, completing the 160km CEI 3-star in eight hours, 24 minutes and 37 seconds - an average speed of more than 19 kilometres per hour.

As well as competing, Mark works on a dry stock farm and also trains Endurance Horses. At only 25, Mark has accomplished more in his chosen discipline than most people will in their lifetime. He has a bright future and is looking like a clear pick for the FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington in September this year.
